This project involved several innovative design features which allowed us to create a rear extension with large glazed panels and a multi-levelled sedum roof. We designed a discreet steel frame which cantilevered out to create an open canopy area with no intrusive posts. Our brief was to design the steel frame sympathetically to the existing structure and create a light and airy opening to seamlessly transition between the existing and new space.
