The existing house is an Edwardian semi-detached property, the project consisted of creating a lightweight garden room opening up the back of the house. The design was driven to extend the property in a sensitive manner with seamless detailing. The result opening the garden into the house. The Large glazing was aligned outside of the structural beam arrangement with the floor level flush internally and externally. Special detailing was needed to set out the cantilever steelwork to enable a thin flat roof profile
