A tired 25 year old conservatory was in need to be replaced. The brief was to keep as much light in the room as possible together with the advantage of viewing the garden. Using the same foot print we designed the flat roof to be a warm roof construction. A steel goal post was required, insulation was put inside the steel posts to stop cold bridging as much as possible. The height of the new roof maximized the light inside the existing property.
